Gunung Catur is Bali’s fourth highest mountain peak, with an altitude of 6,086 feet. This mountain can be found east of Lake Bratan. It is covered in thick forests and it is recommended to hire a guide to help you get around. It typically takes about 3 hours to summit. Catch a sunrise at the top for a breathtaking experience. Early morning climbs also offer fantastic views of the area before clouds begin rolling in.
Gunung Batukaru is an inactive volcano on Bali island and is the second highest mountain, with an elevation of 7,467 feet. The Mawa River flows through an opening at the southern end of this volcano crater. It is famous for its breathtaking sunrise and sunset views and offers many hotel options for travelers. This mountain is popular among resident expatriates as the accommodation prices are somewhat less than other similar areas.
Gunung Abang is about 7,060 feet in elevation, making it a relatively easy hike. You get to travel up the mountain through a lush forest pathway.
